With the snow falling, and storefront under a bit of renovations, we’re still open and excited for the upcoming months! Don’t let the cold keep you indoors! New shipments of bird seed are in, and our bulbs and seeds have just arrived as well. Hyacinth, tulips, daffodils, crocus, and primula, there is bound to be something that will brighten up these dark cold winter days! And while you’re in, come visit the budgies, lovebirds, doves,  and the assortment of fish.

                                                                                                                                             I prefer to give the plants in my home a designer finished touch, by adding a simple vase, and a little bit of moss, your all set!

The poinsettia crop is looking good this year and should be filling up Rice Road shortly with their usual beautiful and bright colours. 

In this transition time of year we still have plenty of options for our customers. We had a new shipment of tropicals come in, some varieties are practically maintenance free.  Any tropical will be sure to spruce up a ‘ boring’ room in the house. Or check out our cactus and succulents display, try something different and unique.

There are also a few options for outdoor planting this time of year. We have a good selection of coniferous plants to add some colour outdoors. Everything from holly bearing fruit to boxwoods, globe cedars and small fir, pine, and spruce trees that can even be used as christmas trees indoors this season.

It is still too early for Christmas greens, as we have some warmer weather approaching. Our greens will be arriving Nov. 15th. Our  Christmas Urns will be available the same week as well.

We had very good feedback on our urns last year as we had them professionally designed.

We still have our 75% off sale on old nursery stock and perennials and they have been convienently placed in the front parking lot for easy access.

It’s not to early to start on your Fall displays, we have a huge selection of Mums to choose from, everything from huge mums with grasses, to mixed fall planters to little 6″ mums.  We also have a great variety of icicle pansies in, why not add some vibrant colour in your gardens that lasts right up to snowfall.  

The ornamental cabbage has got that beautiful purple tinge to the foliage that is sure to stand out in any display, you can plant them right in your gardens or add them to a mixed planter with some mums and grasses, they will also last right through the fall.

Our Hardy Tropical shipment has arrived from the west coast once again. These unique tropicals are quite rare to this area but they are meant to withstand our colder climate.
