Rice Road Greenhouses and Garden Centre (“we” and “us”) is the operator of (www.millionplants.com) (“Website”). By placing an order through this Website you will be agreeing to the terms below. These are provided to ensure both parties are aware of and agree upon this arrangement to mutually protect and set expectations on our service.
Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website but from time-to-time there may be a stock discrepancy and we will not be able to fulfill all your items at time of purchase. In this instance, we will fulfill the available products to you, and depending on the number of out-of-stock items, will refund the missing items, substitute for the same plant in a larger, or smaller size (refunds for overages paid will occur if we must go with a smaller size), or email to request if a different substitution can be made.
2.1 Shipping Costs
Rice Road Greenhouses charges a flat $30 shipping fee within most provinces in Canada for products which are eligible to be shipped. Additional cost may occur should the buyer specifically request to purchase an oversized, or normally unshippable item through the webstore, or if the address needs to be updated or changed en-route. In addition, additional cost may occur should the customer request that we secure a specific shipping company, or keep to a specific shipping time. Payment for shipping will be collected with the purchase. This price will be the final price for shipping cost to the customer. If fees for shipping need to be collected after the initial order is made and has been paid, one can send the $30 shipping (or whatever overage amount is required) via either PayPal’s “send money” feature, or via Interac Email Money Transfer using the email address firstname.lastname@example.org.
2.3 Delivery Costs
Rice Road Greenhouses charges a variable, distance-based fee for delivery of bulk product/oversize goods within the Niagara area.
3. Plant Guarantee
Rice Road Greenhouses offers the following guarantee on plants:
Nursery Stock: 2 Years
Perennials: Only for the current growing season
Roses, Grasses and Clematis: Only for the current growing season
Tree Plantings and Deliveries: None
Tropicals and Hardy Tropicals: None
Rice Road Greenhouses and Garden Centre will happily honor any valid warranty claims for the above applicable items, provided that the claimant brings both their receipt, and the plant in question back to the store, or contacts us via email with images of the plant(s), and with their order number.
Once warranty claim is confirmed, you will receive the choice of:
(a) a refund in store credit
(b) a replacement item sent, or made available to you (if stock is available)
4. Delivery/Shipping Terms
4.1 Local Delivery
Deliveries occur daily (Sundays excluded), and paid delivery orders will be delivered between 9am and 5pm on the delivery date. We cannot guarantee that a delivery will be made at a specific time, only that they will be delivered before 5pm on the scheduled date of delivery.
4.2 Shipping/Transit Time Domestically
In general, domestic shipments are in transit for 1 – 10 business days
4.3 Dispatch Time
Orders are dispatched on Mondays and Tuesdays. Should a Holiday fall on a Monday, then shipments will go out the following Tuesday.
Orders must be received by Friday in order to qualify to be shipped on the following Monday/Tuesday.
If possible, we will try to also include orders made on Saturday/Sunday/Monday for the following shipment, however this will depend on whether we have enough time to do so, and cannot be guaranteed.
4.4 Change Of Delivery/Shipping Address
For change of delivery address requests, we are able to change the address at any time before the order has been dispatched. Should a shipping address need to be changed after dispatch, please email us at email@example.com to let us know which address to use instead. Please note that some shipping companies charge extra for correcting addresses when an item is already en-route to its destination.
4.5 P.O. Box Shipping
Rice Road Greenhouses and Garden Centre can now ship to P.O. Boxes through Canada Post, and may require longer-than-normal shipping times as a result. We are unable to offer couriers services to these locations.
4.7 Items Out Of Stock
If an item is out of stock, we will endeavor to email the customer to see if a replacement or substitution would be possible. If contact cannot be made, we will cancel and refund the out-of-stock items and dispatch the rest of the order.
If possible, we will substitute an item of greater value at no extra cost, or an item of lesser value with a refund being issued for the difference paid.
4.8 Delivery/Shipping Time Exceeded
If Delivery or Shipping has exceeded the forecasted time, please contact us so that we can conduct an investigation.
5. Tracking Notifications
Upon dispatch, customers will receive a tracking link from the shipping company which they will be able to follow the progress of their shipment based on the latest updates made available by the shipping provider. If you do not receive a tracking number from the courier/company for an online order, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know, and we’ll locate your tracking number and send it to you from our side of things.
6. Parcels Damaged In Transit
If you find a parcel is damaged in-transit, if possible, please take photos of the parcel prior to opening, as well as its contents and then send them to us at email@example.com.

Sales tax has already been applied to the price of the goods as displayed on the website

If refunds are to be issued for eligible online store purchases, the refunds must be requested within 30 days of the original purchase. If approved, the refunds will be issued via PayPal unless otherwise requested by the purchaser prior to the refund being issued. For in-store, or phone-in purchases, we do require proof of purchase before we can look in to any possible refunds or credits. Proof of purchase can be in the form of a physical or emailed receipt, an order number, PayPal Transaction ID, or a screenshot of the date/time and payment line information of any debit/credit payments made to Rice Road Greenhouses. Purchases made with cash must have a physical receipt in order for us to look into refunding/crediting purchases.
